Meadow Mischief
A downloadable card game
A wholesome, festive card game suitable for ages 5 and above.
In Meadow Mischief, players compete to collect and complete egg pieces while hunting through the Meadow. The first player to complete two eggs triggers the final round, after which the player with the most points wins!
Once upon a time in the rolling hills of Egg Meadow, Good Bunny was busy preparing beautiful eggs for Easter morning. She had painted each one with loving care, ready to hide them for children to find.
But disaster struck! Evil Ninja Bunny, armed with her carrot sword, snuck into the workshop and sliced all the eggs into three pieces!
It was Curious Bunny who discovered the mess. "Oh my whiskers!" he exclaimed, peering through his magnifying glass at the scattered pieces. "We need help to fix this before the children arrive!"
And that's where you come in. Can you help reassemble the eggs before Easter morning? But be careful - Evil Ninja Bunny is still hopping about the meadow, causing mischief!
Components
- 36 Egg Part cards (4 colors × 3 patterns × 3 positions)
- 9 Bunny cards (3 Good Bunnies, 3 Evil Ninja Bunnies, 3 Curious Bunnies)
- Here’s a guide on how to print and make the cards the easy way
Setup
- Shuffle all Egg Part and Bunny cards together to form the draw pile.
- Deal 9 cards face-down in a 3×3 grid to form the "Meadow" where the eggs are hidden.
- Choose a starting player (the person who ate an Easter egg most recently!)
Scoring
Complete two eggs to score the most points. An egg consists of three matching parts: top, middle, and bottom. Score each egg as follows
- 1 point for completing any egg (all three parts)
- 2 points if the color OR pattern matches across all parts
- 3 points if BOTH the color AND pattern match across all parts
Gameplay
On Your Turn
- Hunt for Eggs: Choose any row or column in the Meadow and peek under the three cards. Pick them all up like a curious bunny on the hunt!
- Select a Card: Choose one card to keep and return the other two face-down to the same row or column in any order. Be sneaky about where you put them back!
- Refill the Meadow: Draw a card from the draw pile to fill the empty space
Building Eggs
- You may have any number of egg parts in front of you, all searching for their matching pieces.
- To complete an egg, arrange the top, middle, and bottom parts together like a puzzle.
- Once an egg is complete, it cannot be broken apart or stolen from.
Bunny Cards
If you draw a Bunny card, immediately apply its effect:
- Good Bunny: Draw two cards from the draw pile and add them to your collection. "Hippity-hop! Two for you!" This generous bunny is always willing to help repair the eggs she worked so hard to prepare.
- Evil Ninja Bunny: Steal one egg part from another player. Then give them the top card of the draw pile. You cannot steal from completed eggs. "Yoink! That's mine now!" Evil Ninja Bunny strikes again with her carrot sword, always looking to cause more chaos!
- Curious Bunny: Flip all face-down cards in the Meadow face-up. Choose one card from the Meadow to keep. Then flip all remaining cards face-down again. "Ooh, what's hiding here?" This bunny just can't help investigating everything with his trusty magnifying glass!
Game End
When a player completes their second egg, the final round begins:
- All cards in the Meadow are turned face-up.
- Each remaining player gets one more turn (in order).
- After the final turn, all players score their completed eggs.
Winning
The player with the highest total points wins and becomes the Master Easter Bunny! In case of a tie, players share the victory and the carrot cake.

Install instructions
This is a game where you will print out the cards, and then play. If you're new to this, you will probably want the file that says "No Card Backs" as these are easier to print.
While it will work just fine to play this game over Easter if you use regular paper, there are ways to improve the feel and quality of the cards you make. One simple way is shown on this YouTube video:
Good luck, and I hope you enjoy it!
